Welcome to the webpage dedicated to the Battlefield 2 map: Val Fleury
This urban map reproduces a neighborhood of the hilly city called Meudon wich is between Paris and Versailles in France. Indeed the railway in the header picture leads you under the Eiffel Tower or next to Versailles castle in 20 minutes.
I wanted this map not to be only an infantry map, but to have also some armors in, like the great map from the Desert Combat mod "DC Urban Siege". So I decided to make little alleys, parks, narrow streets, underground parking, gardens wich are dedicated to infantry combats all linked by wider areas such as avenues or places.
I wanted to feel again the fear of getting shot by an M1A1 while crossing a street, or receiving rockets from a roof top while hunting infantry troop with my BMP-2. Feelings I used to have on maps like "DC Al Nas", "BF1942 Stalingrad", "DC Basrah Edge"...
